Housekeeper / nanny nr. lewes - united kingdom, lewes, east sussex

housekeeper/nanny with newborn experience required in family home near lewes.

this is a varied role that would suit a proactive and positive individual with a can-do attitude. the main responsibilities of the housekeeper/nanny would include cleaning and organising the house, childcare support for two children (14 months and newborn, due early november), occasional batch cooking and weekly cleaning/turnover of a shepherd hut holiday let.

they must be friendly with animals as we have a dog and a cat. they must be largely self-directed and happy to take on a range of tasks, depending on requirement.

this is a live-out position.

starting date asap for 20 hours p/w, ideally spread over 2.5 days.

the main responsibilities include:

childcare for up to two children (14 month old and newborn, due early nov)
taking one or both children to baby classes where required
sweeping, hoovering and washing floors.
laundry and ironing
changing bedding
organising the bedrooms
cleaning the kitchen
cleaning bathrooms
cleaning surfaces, polishing and dusting
fluffing pillows
cleaning windows
organising the cupboards, fridge, pantry.
occasional food shopping.
occasional cooking/batch cooking
loading/unloading dishwasher
running occasional errands
weekly turnover of a shepherd hut used for holiday lets

the minimum requirements to apply are:

proactive, positive, can-do attitude
experience with young children
a good level of english
full driving licence and preferably their own car
someone looking for a long-term, permanent position
animal-friendly
non-smoker
