i’m looking for trainee fibre installation engineer. this is a self employed role with great future earning prospects. having been in this industry for 23yrs and trained many engineers from scratch to a high standard, this is a great opportunity to get into the fibre industry.
we are based near fakenham and welcome local applications, work locations are norfolk and surrounding counties.
you must have a clean driving license and be over 21 for insurance purposes.
responsibilities in this role are:
reading job information
collecting stores from the depot
safely setting up signs & barriers appropriately for the worksite
mounting & hanging cables & equipment on telegraph poles
mounting equipment in manholes
pulling cables through underground ducts
preparing and splicing fibre cables
testing for correct network configuration
keeping a clean & presentable van
recording test results and job notes
completing progress reports on jobs as required
you must be physical fit , hard working with a positive attitude. working at height is required.
