clinical customer service jobs require candidates to:
answer high volume of incoming phone calls from patients and health care providers (i.e. physician offices, clinics) and identify the type of assistance the patient or provider needs (i.e. schedule a new or follow appointment, cancel or reschedule an appointment, prescription refill requests)
manage a high volume of outbound calls to work on new patient work queues.
focus on resolving issues on the first request, navigate through the appropriate computer system(s) to identify the current status of the issue and provide appropriate response to caller
deliver all information and questions in a positive, conversational and compassionate manner to facilitate developing a relationship with the provider, while providing the best customer service experience possible
complete the documentation necessary to track any and all issues and facilitate the reporting of overall trends
meet the performance goals established for the position in the areas of efficiency, call quality, patient & provider satisfaction, first call resolution, and attendance
candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for clinical customer service jobs:
high school diploma or equivalent
one year work experience
knowledge of basic medical terminology
have familiarity with emr such as epic, medical front office processes such as scheduling and full registration.
