primary responsibilities
1. understand and implement the company’s policies and procedures
2. approve and issue all asme pressure vessel and loading equipment product specifications, designs, and drawings to other required associates
3. track all quote and sales order asme drawing requirements
4. review all end user pressure vessel and loading equipment specifications
5. ensure end user design requests will be applicable to the product design
6. assist all associates in the application of product design specifications
7. maintain awareness of any applicable asme code revisions
8. initiate and develop all projects based upon criteria and requirements as specified in the sales orders (customer requirements), engineering change requests (ecr), engineering change orders (eco) and engineering change notices (ecn)
9. work and communicate with other associates to implement product
improvements/changes and resolve any engineering design and specification issues
10. ensure all information contained in the drawings set meets the design requirements of the items being specified in the drawings
11. understand and adhere to all applicable requirements of the quality manual

3. must possess:
a. excellent math skills sufficient to fully understand and apply the asme codes
b. working knowledge of material properties
c. good understanding of advance production principles and assembly practices
d. ability to accomplish all tasks required in a timely manner
e. excellent understanding and working knowledge in the application of cad technology
education and experience
minimum of an associate’s degree in applied science plus two years of cad drafting experience (or equivalent of 5 years total manufacturing/design work experience)
physical requirements
ability to lift 10 pounds on an occasional basis throughout the day
ability to sit for prolonged periods throughout the day
ability to pass drug and alcohol testing required
