welink is looking for a project manager to work at our harrogate head office to take on the management of delivery for various technologies including wifi within buildings and also welink broadband wifi.

the successful candidate will require experience in technology delivery rollout, have good interactive customer facing and internal reporting experience.

the successful candidate will be responsible for the operational and financial performance of the contract; delivering the work safely, on time, in budget and to our client’s expectations.

we are looking for someone to ensure all work within the contract is carried out in full compliance with health, safety, welfare and environmental regulations, while working to maximize the profitability of the contract and ensuring satisfaction of contractual requirements, ensure compliance with the client’s authorisation requirements and specifications, with the company standards of service and quality systems.

key responsibilities

key responsibilities in this role will include, but will not be restricted to the following:

first point of contact for designated customer projects
managing customer delivery and holding weekly customer and contractor review meetings
pro-actively analysis of reporting portal to identify any outages or security events.
planning and delivering network installations
managing material orders when required
making sure we comply with h&s and quality including ensuring that the health and safety requirements are assessed prior to commencing work
manage risk and issues by assessing each project and keeping the raid log up to date
compliance with welink’s policies and procedures.
manage resources internally and external contractors.

person specification

the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills, attributes, and experience:

excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
very organised and can communicate with people at all levels
excellent computer proficiency (ms office – word, excel, and outlook).
ability to problem solve through situational, on-the-job, and work assessments
knowledge of itil framework would be helpful
experience of working in a customer service environment
a project management or prince 2 qualification would be a distinct advantage.
good commercial experience of the contract and project delivery, making sure we can deliver for our clients and maintain profitability

hours of work

the company’s standard hours of work are 9.00am until 5.30pm, monday to friday. however occasional additional work beyond this to see a delivery to completion maybe required

travel for business purposes is generally planned, and notice will be given wherever possible.

the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that they are aware of the security policies and procedures of the information security management system (iso27001) and how these specifically relate to the information resources they have access to.

all security events, whether suspected or actual, must be reported immediately to the information security manager on detection, without exception, including underperforming or broken processes that may lead to information leakage or a security breach.

responsible for ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with their requirements including:

ensuring that they fully understand and execute their responsibilities under the qms;
ensuring that they know and understand the company quality policy;
informing their department managers of any quality issues of concern.
ensuring that they adhere to best practice.
