adecco is assisting a local client in recruiting for machine operators in fall river, ma. these machine operator roles are long term opportunities for temp to hire. the are looking for operators on all shifts with starting pay rates $15.00 per hour and up based on experience. there is also a shift differential paid for 2nd and 3rd shift. if you are looking for a growing career with long term potential, apply today!
hours:
1st shift - 06:55 am - 03:20 pm
2nd shift - 3:20 pm – 11:50 pm
3rd shift - 10:30 pm – 7:00 am – monday night through saturday morning
responsibilities:
practicing safe work habits when alone or with team
adhere to guidelines related to ppe (personal protective equipment), know safety equipment, and be aware of machine safety procedures
willing and able to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
listening carefully to instructions given by cell or group leader
show flexibility to assistant in other areas of facility without hesitation
review production for defects, inconsistencies and abnormal appearance to ensure quality control
being able to identify issues and communicate them with cell or group leader perform cleanings and basic preventative maintenance on all equipment
assisting in repairs and maintenance of machines when needed
maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work area, with the ability to accurately trace raw materials
ability to communicate with the next shift’s machine operators about work progress
read production job specifications to determine machine adjustments and materials required
documenting production information on a tally sheet and make basic productions entries via written or electronic forms
additional tasks as assigned
required:
an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
ability to read and write in english
ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
ability to push/pull 30lbs repeatedly
basic mathematical principles such as length, diameter, weights and counts
ability to adapt quickly to a consistently changing environment
preferred:
high school diploma or ged equivalent preferred
perform basic tasks on our system application product (sap) software
