key responsibilities

ensuring the efficient and effective operation, maintenance and repair of the sites m&e plant and equipment and services.compliance with and record keeping for quality management system.assisting with and participating in the call out system.organise and if necessary, assist in reactive repairs to the sites m&e systems (bms, fire, air conditioning, generators and lv electrical distribution and switch gear).attend site and carry out reactive repairs and planned maintenance as instructed by workplace manager.prioritising and delegating reactive and planned preventative maintenance tasks to the site team ensuring optimum levels of service delivery are being achieved using the cafm system.ensure that planned preventative maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules and industry best practices, ensure all sla are meant.running the site permit to work system and ensure all sub-contractors are working safely and to a high standard, as per procedures and polices.assisting in the writing of reports for the client.assisting with internal and external audits.preparing quotation and proposals at the client's request.assisting with the development of the site team.ensuring the site is maintained to a high standard and suitable for potential clients to attend at any point - site standards maintainedadvising the contract manager on holiday/absence cover.ensuring that all concerned parties are kept informed and updated in relation to all going concerns on site.person specification

educated to a minimum of city & guilds or equivalent in an electrical disciplineapprenticeship (or equivalent programme) in electrical engineering.a minimum of city & guilds in electrical installation.18th edition iee regspermit to workiosh managing safelyhighfield level 2 legionella awareness hot & cold systems.competent with office software applications i.e. email, word processing, excel etc. ability to create and distribute accurate reports on maintenance activities.strong engineering background in mechanical and electrical services.current clean driving licence.experience

excellent knowledge of the operation and maintenance of mechanical & electrical services and plant.ability to interrogate and operate bms systemsknowledge of current technical standards in relation to fire alarm systems, generators, electrical services, a/c and water systems treatment.knowledge of business-critical services i.e. ups and comms rooms etc.working in a "services supply partnership"formulating, assessing and validating risk assessments and method statements.must be available to join a call out rota.occasional weekend working may be required.
