Buyer ii - united states, east windsor

adecco staffing has a buyer ii position available on-site in east windsor, connecticut for a 1-year assignment that has the potential to be extended or converted to a full-time employee. 

 

this is a key role in supporting the procurement of direct material goods and services. you will be tasked with generating, analyzing, and coordinating purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning, and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost-effective and timely manner.

 

job responsibilities include:

execute and manage purchase orders

receive materials virtually and physically

resolving invoicing and receiving issues

manage and maintain supplier relationships

review, resolve and escalate issues that impact plan completion

create ad hoc reports/analysis as requested or required

education:

bachelor’s degree or an associate’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations, or business administration - preferred

high school diploma/ged with 5+ years’ experience in supply chain or materials management in lieu of degree

 

other requirements include:

0 to 2+ years of previous supply chain planning, buying or material management experience in a manufacturing environment - preferred

experience with mrp/erp systems

knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques

talent in negotiations and networking

 

pay:

$25.00 to $35.00 per hour
