Junior engineer - united kingdom, cirencester, gloucestershire
experienced in telephone pbx installation, across a range of media (isdn30, pstn, ip, sip) and with a sound understanding of ip networking, the concept of firewall ports and router configuration, you will be expected to perform a field installation and support role, working under the auspices of the principal engineer.
this will involve the installation and configuration of nec pbx systems, for which training will be provided, installation and configuration of nec add on software, and installation and configuration of handsets and other networking ancillary hardware including sangoma sip to isdn bridges. if of interest, you can also gain experience and training in gamma and phoneline+ hosted solutions.
further to this, you will be required to offer field support of samsung, panasonic and nec hardware in the execution of our maintenance contracts, as well as some limited amounts of cable installation as required (we have a cabling resource for large scale cabling installations).
this would typically be a hybrid role, with some time spent in the office (typically at least 1 day a week but you may be asked to attend more frequently for specific reasons) and time operating from home when not on site visits, although the company would reserve the right to request more in office time, should circumstances dictate.
when not deployed on site there would be some requirement for servicing tickets allocated to you of a second line support nature, but the majority of time will be spent in the field (typically at least 3 days per week).
salary based on experience, is in the range £27-£33k with the use of a van.
