afi currently has a fantastic opportunity for a rack and pinion hoist erector / engineer position to be based from our bishops stortford depot to maintain, service, erect, and repair hoists at our bishops stortford location.

on a day-to-day basis you may be required to travel to different locations to attend industrial and construction sites as needed.

due to the continued expansion of rapid platforms, we are now recruiting for rack and pinion hoist erectors / engineers to join our growing team. you will be installing, dismantling, and preparing of construction goods hoist.

core functions:

to undertake the building, dismantling, servicing, and repairing of goods hoists ensuring all current health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times, so as to ensure our customers receive quality equipment and an unrivalled service.

key duties of the rack and pinion hoist erector role:

undertake all works involved with hoists with regards to maintenance, preparation, installation, dismantling, service, and repair.ensure the health and safety regulations are adhered to at all timescomplete installations and dismantles working within method statementcomplete relevant paperwork accurately foreseeing problems on site and be able to provide solutionscarry out inspections on machines prior to supervisor thorough examination (schedule 1)keep hoist transport vehicles clean inside and outliaise with office regarding problems, missing/damaged equipmenttake pictures of all installationswear provided ppe at all timeskeep the yard clean and tidy at all timesyou will be required to drive a company van, so please ensure you hold a full and clean driving licence. you must be able to work at height, and hours of work will vary, depending on the location.
