manpower are excited to be working with an amazing client currently looking to recruit a tool setter to join their team in grimsby.
about the role:
change of tooling and complete set up of ancillary equipment to meet production demands when planned.
main responsibilities and activities:
carry out line clearance at end of production in preparation for next tooling.
safely remove and refit tooling to presses in accordance to company procedures.
carry process adjustments and full set ups.
prove tooling and troubleshoot machine and process before handing to production lines.
liaise with operational staff to understand tooling related issues.
liaise with quality engineers for product improvement.
experience required: essential:
qualified to nvq lvl2 in polymer process or equivalent
knowledge of plastics processing and machine setting of injection moulding machines.
able to compile setting and fault finding instructions.
clear and proven experience in a technical/setting environment
hours of work:
tool setters work a two week rotating pattern monday to friday. the first week is the earliest shift (06:00 to 14:30 monday to thursday and 06:00 to 14:00 friday) and the second week is the late shift (13:30 to 22:00 monday to thursday and 13:30 to 21:30 friday)
salary: gbp24k-gbp28k
