the role
we have an exciting opportunity for a registered veterinary nurse to join our team. the role will be sole charge branch nursing in our small animal branch practice, soon to house ophthalmology referral services and surgeries.
this is a part time role working 24 hours per week and we can be flexible with the shift patters and working hours. we are willing to discuss the hours further for the right candidate.
the role will include a mix of surgery and consulting where individuals will be encouraged to use their own clinical judgement and freedom you will work alongside our brilliant vets and front of house team to provide an excellent service and patient care. no weekends or ooh required.
salary
the salary for this role is up to gbp31,000 (fte) depending on experience.
about us
links vet group, 5 branch companion animal practice, have recently moved their dunbar site to a new modern unit with operating facilities. due to success of the move, we are ready to start operating and are looking for an enthusiastic confident nurse to join the friendly, ambitious team and take the successful branch further. we are lucky to have an ophthalmology certificate holder on our team, who will be working her referral service from the dunbar site, guaranteeing an exciting mix of general and referral surgeries and cases. the branch is walking distance to the both the seaside and train station- so coastal lunch breaks and an easy commute on offer!
about the team and culture
our team consists of 20 vets, with a 3-vet team working from the dunbar branch. we have seven wonderful nurses who work from our haddington branch, and regular communications and meetings would ensure you feel part of the team. time spent working in haddington also considered.
applicant requirements
registered with rcvs, team player but confidence and ambition to be sole charge managing nurse. interest in ophthalmology a plus!
