our client is searching for an assistant quantity surveyor to join their established commercial team and work prominently on their poundbury scheme with a view to moving on to other developments.this is a great opportunity for an assistant who wants to take the next step on their career path. poundbury is an internationally renowned experimental mixed-use development by the dutchy of cornwall which is made up of different forms of construction and therefore a great place to learn new skills. the successful candidate will be based at the upton office in poole and will work very closely supporting the senior quantity surveyors with their day to day responsibilities. these will include all aspects of quantity surveying from pre-construction and construction through to final accounting.responsibilities:-procurement-subcontract negotiation-order management-measurement-valuations-managing payment applications through to final accounts-cost and value reports the ideal candidate will be/have:-at least a year of experience in a similar role-studying or recently qualified in construction management or surveying-methodical, organised and conscientious-able to work on own initiative-articulate, clear and credible-experience using microsoft office and excel-professional and pleasant manner the role is monday to friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm with 25 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays, car/car allowance, health care, pension and bonus scheme. salary is dependent on experience.to apply, please click the link below or send an updated cv to dfletcher@fr-group.co.uk
