after-school nanny needed (4-days a week)

we are a professional family with a 9-year girl who loves music, reading and sports. we are looking for an after-school nanny from monday-thursday from 3.15 p.m. to 6.30 pm from september (about 14 hours a week). it will involve collecting our daughter from school in crouch end, north london, helping with homework, taking her to after-school clubs and making snacks and occasionally dinner. additional hours possible when we travel for work and for ad-hoc babysitting.

we are looking for someone who is reliable, fun-loving and likes dogs (we have a spaniel). we have a strong preference for someone who lives in the local area or within a 20-minute commute. the school is a 10 minute walk to our house. supervising homework will be a key part of the role. we are a friendly family and have had good relations with all our previous nannies (one was with us for 5 years).

some previous childcare is an advantage. must be non-smoker. this position would suit a student on a gap-year or a student with a class schedule or other activities in the morning, willing to commit to a few hours work each day. we will pay a competitive salary in the range of £12 to £14 per hour.
