competent, considerate and self motivated cook/housekeeper & maintenance couple sought to look after mature gentleman's weekend residence near midhurst, west sussex.
couple needed to look after the smooth running of the home, overseeing any contractors and ensuring everything is kept to high standards.
cleaners employed twice a week to assist. general duties for the couple to include all housekeeping and basic house and garden maintenance, changing light bulbs, sweeping the driveway, leaf blowing etc and occasional driving. cooking is required at weekends for the employer and occasional guests, so ideal if one of the couple enjoys cooking and has a reasonable repertoire of dishes. mature employer is very informal but would like table service when entertaining.
employer is based in london during the week, returning to midhurst most weekends from friday-monday.
accommodation provided is a self contained 2 bed apartment, very private in a separate wing of the house with its own entrance. well behaved pets may be considered, regret not suitable for dependents.
role is 5 days per week, around 40hrs, working weekends with wednesdays & thursdays off. salary offered £60k-£70k gross according to experience.
