Part-time companion and cook for elderly gentleman - united kingdom, twickenham, london
elderly gentleman needs a bit of companionship and someone to cook him a light lunch on weekdays. during a two-hour visit, it would be ideal if you could also take him for a short walk (he can go at quite a pace once he gets moving). he enjoys chess, so if you know how to play, that would be a bonus! there may also be a small amount of housework involved (empty the dishwasher/sweep the kitchen floor etc). being smiley, upbeat and good with old people is a must.
this role could be ideal for a local mum looking for a bit of work between the morning and afternoon school run. starting immediately on tuesdays and thursdays. then potentially increasing to daily visits on weekdays (or having some ad hoc flexibility to do some extra days) in september.
for this job you’ll need to:
live in the richmond/twickenham area
be patient, kind, trustworthy and honest
have a dbs certificate (or be willing to obtain one soon)
be able to rustle up a yummy omelette or hearty soup (or such like)
be female – or mother-hen like (!)
speak good english and annunciate clearly (he’s hard of hearing)
be a non-smoker
