Production apprenticeship program manager - united states, anderson

this is a 6 month contingent position. only candidates local to anderson, indiana will be considered.

as a program manager, you will leverage your exceptional project management and instructional design skills to build an hourly production apprenticeship program from start to launch. this program will be piloted at the anderson, in production facility with the intent that it will be replicated across other factories in the future.

responsibilities:
• support the development of on-the-job training plan and other required apprenticeship program documentation (affirmative action plan, wage increase schedule/plan, etc.)
• assist in registering program(s) with department of labor and in relevant state(s)
• conduct regular project meetings with key stakeholders to seek feedback and drive work forward
• facilitate the creation or refinement of learning materials or performance support and integration with the digital platform used for training, poka
• research local and federal laws, guidance, and benefits for the factory
• coordinate recruitment and selection process for initial cohort
• raise issues and risks to leadership team
• manage the change effort at the factory level; serve as a single point of contact for q&a, plans, status, etc.
• oversee the local kickoff of the hourly production apprenticeship program

education/experience:
• associate degree, bachelor’s preferred
• project management experience required, manufacturing environment and apprenticeship programs preferred
• instructional design experience or implementation of 70-20-10 development approach
• able to proficiently use computers and ms word, powerpoint, excel
• comfortable working with new technology
• ability to challenge others while maintaining great working relationships

• ability to collaborate with local and remote groups
• ability to conceptualize creative solutions, documenting them, and presenting/selling them to key stakeholders.

working hours & location
• 20 to 40 hours a week, 80% at pilot factory in anderson, in
