Procurement manager - united kingdom, letchworth garden city, hertfordshire
here at every step recruitment, office support, we are actively seeking a procurement manager for a 9 month fixed term contract. the purpose of the role is to manage the day-to-day procurement transactions, improve the productivity of the supply chain and provide accurate and timely reports. this is a full-time, office-based role.
your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
overseeing 1 x supply chain coordinator
ensuring procurement policies and procedures are adhered to and continuously improved
review of suppliers in terms of quality and cost
negotiating supplier contracts and review performance
sourcing of new materials
providing accurate reporting to assist decision making
you will have the following skills and attributes:
at least 3 years recent experience working within a procurement/supply chain capacity
previous supervisory experience
excellent planning and prioritising skills
strong communication skills - both written and verbal
