are you a domestic couple looking for a new live-in role?

we are looking for a live-in domestic couple (chef/cook & housekeeper) to look after a lovely 5-bed grade i residence located in west sussex, gu29. this lovely property is usually used by the principal only during weekends. housekeeping and fine cooking are the main duties of the role. there is a cleaner coming twice per week for deep cleaning and full-time gardeners employed. no pets. at least one of you must be a driver.

working schedule: 5 days per week including weekends, with 2 days off during the week, up to 45 hours/week.

the starting date is asap / up to one month notice acceptable;

main duties:

cooking for the principal & occasional guests
cleaning, sweeping, hoovering, dusting
laundry, ironing, shoe cleaning
upkeeping floral displays
ensuring the home is pristine and welcoming
welcome all guests with a positive experience
cleaning all areas of the kitchen, tidying after meals
groceries shopping (online and offline)
organising the cupboards, fridge, pantries
assist with dinner parties and other events
supervise cleaning and manage petty cash
general property maintenance
taking out bins and some dyi jobs
driving duties

the minimum requirements to apply are:

high level of english
at least one must be a confident driver
cooking skills
dbs check and references required prior to start

job benefits

the salary range is £60,000 to £70,000 gross pa joint doe. the provided accommodation consists of a self-contained flat, with two bedrooms, a kitchen and a separate entrance. all bills will be covered. food is not included. the position comes with 28 days of paid holiday, including bank holidays. unfortunately, no dependents can be considered. some very small dogs might be allowed at the provided accommodation (tbc with the principal on a case-by-case basis).
