more about the role

as supply chain manager, you will have overall responsibility for the site supply chain, including control of ethical sourcing, planning and purchasing, whilst adhering to wmftss sustainability and one planet agendas. this will mean working with supply chain colleagues within waston marlow and spirax sarco to deliver world class supply chain initiatives. key accountabilities include

oversee the procurement and contract negotiations/re-negotiations for the supply of all materials into the manufacturing operations ensuring a cost effective and robust material supply chainmaintain accurate supplier data, including pricing, contracts, review meeting schedules and relevant up-to-date supplier quality informationlead and develop a high performing supply chain team that is able to meet customer demandsensure that the team is fully trained and follow safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain including use of forklifts and any other vehicles as appropriatecontinue to develop and deliver a supply chain strategy, measuring and analysing quality and delivery performance through kpisbuild effective relationships with both internally and external customers and supplierslead and improve supplier performance in terms of service level, lead time, lot size, cost, stock level, etc, responsible for annual stock counts during financial yearensure through effective planning that the right levels of inventory are established, maintained, and flexed to meet current and future operational/project needsdevelop the materials, stock control and handling processes to gain improvements in efficiency and controlmonitor and proactively manage obsolescence risks and material supply for appropriate period lead the internal movement of materials and finished goods, developing logistics capabilities to support continued growth and developmentlead and deliver ax 3065fo implementation and roll out.ensure that supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards and are compliant with internal policies including anti-bribery and corruption policy and the group management codechampion and have oversight in new product development projects to ensure viable delivery of supply chain for new materialsmaintain a culture of continuous improvementyou might be wondering what skills you will need. well ideally you will have

previous experience as a supply chain manager or equivalent (e.g. purchasing / sourcing manager)extensive experience of maintaining effective and productive relationships with external customerscommercially and financially aware with strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skillscips qualified would be advantageousexperience of working with a manufacturing matrix organsiation would be beneficial although not essentialeveryone is welcome
