our client, located in erskine scotland, is at the heart of a market-leading circular economy strategy. we have over 20 year's experience in the sustainable management of it assets. the facility is designed to refurbish and preowned assets where possible or ethically recycle if no longer usable. the variety of assets is staggering, from 20-year legacy to leading edge current generation platforms. the successful candidate will form part of a compact, agile, and adaptive engineering team which has varied responsibilities. the diversity of the role requires an experienced, creative, and self-motivated individual who would enjoy the daily challenge of a manufacturing environment.

job function:

accountable for development, planning, execution, and management of various activities related to materials and inventory control for materials. examples include logistics coordination, shipping/receiving, distribution, storage of materials and cycle counting programs. responsibilities may include but are not limited to; order fulfilment; shipping; kitting; movement of materials; ensuring physical inventory and maintaining designated inventory records using various material tracking systems; and scheduling work for designated areas of operations; at the exempt level, compiling data for reports; and statistical analysis.

responsibilities and duties:

performs varied and general tasks involved in controlling inventory; shipping, receiving, storing and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment (e.g. movement of materials through the use of pallet jacks, daily collection of appropriate statistics).

supports intermediate-level transactional processes that require independent judgement.

follows detailed documentation and instructions to execute a variety of process- oriented tasks to support inventory control and materials management activities.

identifies basic- to complex level functional process anomalies (e.g. inventory control, shipping and receiving, conducting cycle counts) and seeks guidance for resolution.

supports the training of new hires.

education and experience required:

associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.

typically, 2-4 years of experience in materials and/or distribution.

preferred knowledge and skills required:

strong knowledge of warehouse management applications and microsoft office suite.

strong written and verbal skills.

fluency in english.

strong technical knowledge specific to business function.

strong multi-tasking ability.

monday - friday 08.00 - 16.00 (37.5 hours per week)
