Transportation customer service - united states, canton

adecco is assisting a logistics provider in canton michigan to fill a transportation customer service opportunity.  this is a temporary to hire, in person position.  if you meet the qualifications listed below – apply now!

primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • serve as primary contact with customers and drivers
  • scheduling and dispatching drivers, vehicles or equipment according to predetermined schedules
  • prepare daily work orders of loads and setting appointments
  • respond to customer needs and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • be conscious of finances, including charges for work performed
  • qualifications:

  • 1 year experience with material planning & logistics, trucking and dispatching
  • creative problem-solving skills
  • familiar with microsoft excel, word and powerpoint
  • computer knowledgeable for scheduling, dispatching duties and record keeping
  • excellent communication and follow up skills
  • strong clerical and organization skills
  • willingness to work ot with short notice
