line truck driver operating supply trucks, including pickup and delivery of material and equipment; inventorying of materials and tools, w driver duties and responsibilities driver is responsible for transporting line inspector in a safe manner, and they may have the option to work nights and weekends to accomplish their duties. common duties and responsibilities for drivers are to: full workday is driving in a large patrol van follow all traffic laws drive defensively to ensure safety fulfill administrative needs, like office pickups research and plan for traffic, construction, and weather delays use navigation applications to determine the best route always interact with clients professionally ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use arrange for vehicle repairs as needed keep mileage records up to date qualifications for driver high school diploma or ged equivalent valid state driver's license have been driving for at least 5 years safe driving record great time management skills great customer attitude and attentiveness ability to operate a vehicle for 8 hours open to working nights and weekends.
