principal duties:
performs shop activities such as receiving, assembly, disassembly, fabrication, troubleshooting, materials handling, shipping and scrapping.
completes required documentation of work activities.
tests products or subassemblies for functionality to ensure quality production, using tools such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
builds product subassemblies or final assemblies.
inspects finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
starts up and shuts down processing equipment.
prepares and assembles materials, plans and lays out work load to meet production schedule requirements, and maintains inventory of job materials.
assists with developing, building, or testing with any new products, processes, or procedures.
sets up and operates production equipment in accordance with current best manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
sets up and verifies the functionality of safety equipment and ppe according to safety policies.
housekeeping - cleans production equipment and work areas, including hand tools.
assists team leads/supervisor in other shop floor activities as requested.
requirements:
high school degree or equivalent.
experience working on cars or truck is a plus
lifting requirements of up to 50 lbs.
good attendance is required for this role. must possess ability to work well in a team environment.
