fitters (joinery and furniture) – hinckley

salary negotiable depending on experience

the standard working week is 40 hours plus overtime (paid at an enhanced rate)

working away from home is required – most work is london based (hotels and subsistence supplied)

at eximious, we design, manufacture and install bespoke corporate joinery and furniture for a large number of clients nationally. the work is varied and prestigious, and our continuous commitment to supply a quality product for every project is embraced by the whole team.

we are now looking for fitters to join our team of highly skilled craftsmen.

about the fitter role:

your role will entail building and installing furniture and joinery items on site by studying drawings and specifications. you will work closely with the factory team to ensure work is carried out professionally, efficiently and able to meet deadlines considering all aspects of the process.

other duties will include:

setting-up and operating equipment.
problem solving
verifying dimensions.
assembling and finishing components.
working safely and efficiently to all site and health and safety rules and standards.

about you:

to be eligible for this role, you will need:

nvq/city & guilds minimum level 2 in bench joinery, site carpentry or the equivalent.
a cscs card is essential.
your own hand and battery tools.
you will need excellent communication and customer service skills as you will be out on site representing the company so you must be a polite, tidy and approachable.
ability to work calmly and accurately to a high standard under time pressures.
a valid driving licence is essential.
flexibility is a must as you should be prepared for early starts and overnight stays away.
