i am now looking to recruit a process engineer for a large manufacturing client based in scunthorpe. are you a process engineer or graduate chemical engineer looking to join a business to help drive process improvement's. this is a days based position and will come with future progression opportunities across the business.

located in scunthorpe my client is a large manufacturing business who supply products worldwide. they are now in the market for a highly driven, process engineer to join the forward thinking, engineering team based in scunthorpe. applicants will ideally be from a manufacturing, process or chemical background, with the ability to drive change and grow within the business.

description

as the process engineer you will report directly into the process manager responsible for the development and introduction of process logging which includes developing and maintaining procedures, arranging plant outages for maintenance work and working with others in the team to monitor plant operations and implement changes as required

as part of the role you will identify areas for improvement via plant monitoring and kpi's to drive continuous improvement through six sigma principles. you will also manage improvement projects through to implementation. there is a requirement to carry out field work that occasionally involves unsociable hours and call outs.

other duties include:

to embrace and participate in the work safe health and safety programme.ensuring process meets functional safety standards required.conversion of metrology data to show carbon emissions to comply with legal requirements.investigate and deliver oee improvements and support the sites ci approach.provide technical and process engineering support for all operation areas.conduct downtime, availability and scrap analysis on production plant.manage the energy reporting process and oversee external verification audits.understanding of functional safety management system and responsibilities. profile

to apply for the process engineer position you will have experience within a similar position gained across a manufacturing, production or chemical industry. graduate options would also be considered for this position.
