Cook - united kingdom, westbury on trym, bristol
8 hours per week working alternate weekends between 9am to 5.30pm.
we are looking for a cook to join our catering team at john wills house, westbury fields to deliver a quality and efficient food service that meets the individual needs of our residents.
duties:
1. cook and prepare meals for the relevant resident group (which may include sheltered housing, nursing care home and/or dementia care home), allowing for special dietary requirements.
2. assist in the planning of meals and ordering of supplies under the direction of the chefs.
3. maintain up to date knowledge and awareness of nutrition, portion sizes and modified diets.
4. contribute to a high performing and motivated catering team and regularly liaise and communicate with line manager.
5. maintain a high standard of hygiene in accordance with food hygiene legislation and best practice.
6. comply with health and safety legislation and st monica trust’s policies and procedures.
this role is working in a finishing kitchen. food is prepared and ready for cooking, and your role will be to complete cooking processes and manage the food service.
