10:00am to 2:00pm saturday and sunday. 8 hours.
food is one of the most important things in all our lives.
as a catering assistant you’ll work within the kitchens and restaurants of our care homes and retirement villages. this vital job includes preparing and serving food and drinks for residents, meetings and events. you’ll take pride in keeping clean and hygienic working and food areas. you might be involved in maintaining stocks and stores of food, and you will help to wash up, clear away crockery, cutlery, and food waste. most importantly though, you will build relationships with our residents, you’ll get to know their needs and make sure they enjoy their food experiences.
food hygiene, catering and health and safety skills would be useful however, we give full training. you will have exceptional customer service skills including the ability to interact and build a good rapport with residents and customers. this is a fast-paced environment - the restaurant and kitchens have busy periods and so you'll need to be able to use your initiative, work well in a team and be able to think on your feet.
