adecco is hiring immediately for an shipper in nw indiana. this position is 3 days a week, 12-hour shifts. you also have opportunities to earn overtime. employee must be able to go to the location in lowell, in. as an associate, you will work as part of a team to achieve daily goals.
distribution shipper
the distribution shipper is responsible for the accurate sorting and loading of the various trailers that arrive and leave the bakery. they are also responsible for the proper documenting of all products and trailers that leave the bakery.
distribution duties:
monitor quality constantly.
know and understand all aspects of the toolbox program.
conduct the distribution and tagging of all products to the branches accurately.
check in all products received on the loading dock and sign for them.
check and make distribution of all purchased products.
keep shipping desk and area clear of clutter.
properly and efficiently deal with broken baskets and dollies.
coordinate with shipping supervisor on loads coming and going.
load and unload transports as assigned.
know and understand procedures for freezer products.
inform supervisor of any inconsistencies immediately.
make sure quality is a standard procedure.
properly fill out the trailer inspection sheet.
any and all other duties deemed necessary by duties:
properly lock out / tag out any applicable equipment before cleaning.
sweep all trailers before loading with any product.
sweep shipping area at the end of your shift.
any and all other duties deemed necessary by supervision.
the above duties are to be performed during normal bakery operations. all employees must follow established gmp’s and written and spoken safety rules at all times. any concerns should be directed to a supervisor immediately.
