the role: we are looking for a personable and professional visitor centre chef to support the kitchen operation of our popular visitor centre. this role will offer lots of variety preparing buffets and assorted wedding and events menus in a truly unique venue.

key responsibilities

· report to the head chef & management team and assist with the day to day operation of the kitchen

· prepare, cook and present dishes to specification

· keep up to date with business initiatives and competitor activity

· keep up to date with seasonality of menu’s and products

· support a team to deliver outstanding routines and standards

· keep other team members informed of availability and stock levels in the kitchen

· assist with the monitoring of portion and waste control

· take responsibility for customer feedback and respond positively

· support new team members, ensuring a great employee experience with shepherd neame

· oversee the maintenance of the kitchen and food safety standards

· follow the procedures outlined in shepherd neame policies, guidelines and training.

full time, 37.5 hours per week. significant evening and weekend working required.
