gigroup are recruiting for a supervisor to overlook responsibilities in the warehouse this company is based in solihull they manufacture car parts & are well known for this speciality.

pm shift supervisor job specification

job specification: duties to include but not limited to:

* ensure the tl is doing regular spot checks to ensure envoys are adhering to the delivery process, for example, visual checks for mixed condition stock, klt labels present and any packaging information followed.

* cover tl duties as required in their absence, in exceptional circumstances cover line envoy duties.

* ensure running changes are completed in a timely manner and the new process is adhered too.

* ensure all radios and scanners are returned and have been signed in/out accordingly.

* maintain a professional and positive relationship with all members of the company and all of the sub companies that they supply.

* remain vigilant when checking and if necessary, enforcing the company policies and instructions.

* be flexible to meet the company's needs if required to cover other shifts or other sites temporarily.

* encourage the team to maintain the cleanliness of the deck in order to reflect visual standards.

* load/unload deliveries to the appropriate stand/rack location when required.

* fill in all solihull kpi's and check for regular patterns/issues that can be investigated.

* scan bulk/safety when required.

* liaise with the warehouse to give and receive relevant information.

* proactively train the shift tl to a level where they can competently cover the supervisor during holiday/absence.

* write an accurate and detailed shift handover, being sure to include all relevant information to give the next shift the best start possible.

* all relevant forms to be filled in and sent off when incidents occur, for example, near miss and customer complaint forms.

* liaise with the operations manager regarding the progression and continued improvement of new line envoys, including official feedback sessions and goals to be achieved.

* provide support and knowledge for special projects, for example, launch projects.

* keep the skills matrix up-to-date and seek training opportunities when time allows to have the staff as multi skilled as possible.

* assist the operations manager during the recruitment process for new envoys.

* provide members of your team with staff appraisals and follow up on any goals assigned.

* organise the team effectively when undertaking pop counts to be forwarded to bulten.

* confident and competent at performing basic excel duties.

* provides accurate and detailed correspondence via e-mail both internally and externally, maintaining a healthy relationship with all concerned.

* attends jlr meetings when required and exhibits professionalism at all times throughout.

* allocation and communication of line checks when necessary.

remuneration - £12.99 p/h (£26,005.98 p/a) + 10% shift allowance.
