Shipper/receiver- 1st shift - united states, manchester
adecco is working with a manufacturing client in manchester, nh who is looking for additional shipping and receiving associates on their 1st shift! this is a temp to hire position.
pay:
$17.00+ per hour
schedule:
monday through friday 7:00am-3:30pm
job objective:
coordinate and perform tasks related to the shipping and receiving of materials in the distribution department. process all related computer transactions and prepare related documentation. maintain accurate inventory. maintain a safe, clean, and orderly warehouse.
job responsibilities:
complete oracle production travelers.
package materials per customer specifications.
post material issue and receipt transactions.
coordinate pick-up and delivery with carriers.
generate shipping documents.
send for and collect proper qc releases and documentation.
perform wms transactions.
perform confirm and freight rating transactions.
load and unload trailers.
complete purchase order receiving transactions.
generate inventory labels for raw materials.
perform qc sampling, verification of compliance, and related documentation.
organize and store materials.
stock materials for all manufacturing and support departments.
order packaging supplies.
coordinate returns of packaging to vendors.
perform cycle counts.
maintain a clean and orderly warehouse.
perform other duties as assigned.
move chemicals and or waste materials within the facility.
maintain the chemical storage area(s) and/or waste storage area(s) in a clean and orderly manner.
packages, labels, and prepares waste for storage as well as transportation as requested.
inspects the facility and equipment regularly, notifies appropriate personnel of any incidents or occurrences that may trigger implementation of the contingency plan.
may perform additional emergency response activities, including assisting in stopping or containing a release, as directed by the emergency coordinator.
job qualifications:
high school diploma or higher education.
one year of warehouse experience.
certification in hazardous communications, lockout/tagout and forklift operations (or certification within 30 days).
good communication and team working skills.
ability to follow standard operating procedures, lift up to 50 lbs, work cooperatively with all plant departments.
computer literate.
ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
high school diploma or ged.
ability to self pace learning including book, web-base and classroom participation.
basic knowledge of oracle software, microsoft excel, microsoft word, loftware, groupwise as well as forklift experience preferred but not required.
