heavy duty diesel mechanics needed asap – newark airport area (5 years experience minimum)$28 - $42/hour, 1st shift, m-f

"mobile mechanic positions" - while at and around newark airport property - must be willing to work in non-climate-controlled conditions and overtime as needed, including seasonally. this means outdoors and on runways, in all types of weather.

essential duties and responsibilities

service and maintain all types of diesel engines.

diagnose and perform repairs on all types of trucks & heavy equipment with limited supervision.

repair brakes, hydraulic and computerized induction/ignition systems

perform inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment.

use of power and hand tools.

inspect and maintain equipment used in operations.

requirements

must have a driver license, cdl preferred.

diesel experience preferred. 

must have own tools.

must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

minimum 5 years’ experience

experienced using all tools of the trade (including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and hand and power tools)

excellent customer service skills and communication skills

willing to work in non-climate-controlled conditions and overtime as needed, including seasonally.
