adecco search is recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire engineering lead job near portland, me (biddeford, me) for our client, a busy manufacturer of state-of-the-art products. our client offers a competitive pay rate and excellent benefits. relocation assistance is available. engineering technicians will report directly to the site-specific engineering lead.

the primary responsibility of the engineering lead is to provide leadership, technical direction and priorities to engineering technicians. this work involves accountability for manufacturing processes, equipment and successful operational execution.

 

essential job functions:

oversee a team of engineering technicians

manage day to day activities and priorities supporting production

execute strategic and tactical plans in pursuit of business objectives.

support development and maintenance of operational procedures and processes.

support design, installation, and qualification of new equipment and equipment modifications with strong configuration management practices.

direct project management activities including prioritization, assigning resources, project planning, technical communication with customers

 

education /experience:

bachelor’s degree of engineering

5 plus years of related experience

knowledge, skills, and abilities

required:

good communication skills and strong interpersonal skills

ability to work with a team and independently when required

leadership, employee development, training and coaching skills

effective time management and prioritization focus

demonstrate results in technical problem solving, product and process development and supporting customer focused programs and services

ability to follow technical direction and communicate results

ability to follow all safety practices
