about our exciting opportunity
this role is key in the delivery team supporting the area build supervisor ensuring that our build partners achieve forecasted delivery dates. duties include but not limited to;
collecting and auditing design data provided by cbl design partner making sure that the optimal solutions have been identified against business specifications allowing a build that meets time, cost per premise and quality requirements.
validate pia infrastructure incorporated into the design identifying both issue and solutions.
utilise qgis and qfield to accurately highlight issues and provide re-designs.
survey pre-sold customer connections at multiple points throughout the build life cycle ensuring pre-sold customers are available for connection quickly and efficiently.
work with other design surveyors and the build field teams to create a seamless optimised design.
surveying critical assets and infrastructure for the build process ensuring right first-time designs are available to cbl build partners.
complete electronic tasks during the survey process providing feedback on design performance, produce and maintain reports wherever necessary
ongoing monitoring of project areas throughout the pre-build life cycle confirming any changes that will affect the build process
confirm vital infrastructure such as the olt is placed in suitable locations
recording and reporting all deviations from original plan
assist the other teams such as project, network assurance and design teams whenever necessary.
contribute to the improvement of processes, participate, or lead in the development of equipment, methods, or software
understand, develop, and create documents such as straight-line diagrams, splice matrix etc.
your skills and experience
full uk driving license
minimum of 2 years telecoms surveying experience
pia qualifications (desirable)
understanding of poling, cable, or civils installations on a fibre network
experience in building pon's (desirable)
experience with qgis and qfield (desirable)
