thanks to our client’s innovative products and great team – they are proud that the business is continuing to grow. they now have an opportunity for two laboratory technicians to join their professional research & development team based in rochdale.

this is a 12-month fixed term contract.

purpose of the job:

to assist in the development of new energy curable products for the global packaging market that are aligned with the company strategy. this will involve developing and testing the inks to ensure it meets the agreed specification.

the successful candidate will work, as part of a laboratory-based team, and will also support existing energy curable inks and will be expected to carry out a range of daily tasks in the technical centre as required.

key responsibilities include:

safety commitment - ensuring the safety of self and others.
help the team develop new and innovative energy curable products to agreed specification and within agreed timescales.
provide updates of project progress, including regular and clear communication with project leaders.
keep accurate records and complete assigned tasks to agreed quality.

qualifications / experience critical for the job holder

minimum of 5 good gcse grades ( a*- c ), with emphasis on science subjects plus some experience working in a laboratory environment or degree in chemistry/physics or related discipline.
competent in the use of msoffice (excel, powerpoint, outlook, word)
ability to analyse test results and disseminate them in an effective way
strong team player
