salary: £9.90 per hour location: coventry shift pattern: 5 over 7 , this will include the weekends as we are a 7 day retail business hours: 42.5hrs per week

* due to the nature of the role we will require you to have held a driving licence for more than a year*

about the role

if you have a passion for cars, love managing a detailed and service led process and enjoy working as part of a fast paced and energetic team you may have found your ideal job!

our yard department is a key department on every site, our fantastic yard colleagues support the business by providing a hands-on operational service managing cars as they arrive on site. working closely with colleagues and customers, you will manage your work via an app that creates a computer-based list to work from and facilitate the collection of vehicles in a timely and efficient manner. you will complete basic mechanical maintenance as and when required.

what will my day to day look like?

checking in cars in all weathers, managing our in-house it systems. on a daily basis you will be checking vehicles for damage, checking all vehicle specification and service history and completing inspection data for vehicle loading. this is a fast-paced role so the ability to stay calm and maintain excellent attention to detail as well as the desire to produce high quality work is really important. support with the recondition of vehicles and the preparation for collection and pitch working outside completing the exterior wash of vehicles on display and being prepared for collection. high attention to detail required to detect and rectify any cleanliness issues outside of our standard

what we’d like you to have:

due to the nature of the role, you will need a full, clean driving license and be able to drive and park be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team ability to work to tight deadlines. above everything else, you`ll live the motorpoint values of proud, honest, supportive and happy.
