family description and location

a british couple are looking for an experienced gardener/housekeeper couple to come and work for them. they live in a 6-bedroom detached house that sits in 5.5 acres of land. the garden is mostly laid out to lawn with flower beds and paths.

they are situated in wilmslow in a beautiful rural location but close to all shops and amenities and only a 30-minute drive from manchester that has an international airport etc. the couple also have friends and family that visit often so this can be a busy role but there is no childcare and limited cooking with the role. there is a cocker spaniel that will require pet care so a dog lover is a must!

job description

the role is for a housekeeper and a gardener

all housekeeping to a high standard. knowledge of fine fabrics and correct products and care for stone and floor care essential.
all laundry and ironing
packing and unpacking suitcases and wardrobe management making up guest bedrooms and weekly linen changes
all garden maintenance including weeding, mowing and planting.
maintenance of garden machinery such as ride on mowers, blowers strimmers etc
keening pathway, driveway and service areas clean
general diy ie changing of lightbulbs and general maintenance
washing and maintenance of cars, refuelling etc.
airport and station runs
pet care including dog walking twice daily
simple family light lunch food preparation such as chicken and rice (no dinner party cooking and no entertaining)

candidate requirements

you must be an experienced domestic couple who are happy to split the role of housekeeping and gardening. you will have good checkable references and be happy to pet sit when the couple travel.

days of work, accommodation and salary

monday – friday
8am – 6pm with a 1-hour lunch break (flexibility to work on a saturday morning if friend and family are visiting)
accommodations is a 1-bedroom lodge on the grounds in a secluded area with open plan kitchen/diner, utility area, bedroom, bathroom and an enclosed private garden. (sorry not suitable for pets or dependents)
car for use on and off duty.
£70-£75k negotiable dependent on experience

start date asap but will wait for the right couple
