the opportunity: the door engineer will be joining a leading national and global product brand recognised throughout the industry for quality and high-performance entrance solutions. as a door engineer, you will be specialising in the repair, maintenance, and servicing of industrial & automatic door systems for a uk market leader. job description: after a detailed 4 week training period, including working side by side with a qualified engineer, only then will the door engineer go out and carry out their daily duties, which includes visiting customer sites covering the n. east, middlesbrough, durham area, etc. carrying out ppm & servicing, fault finding, testing, etc. on industrial/sectional & and automatic sliding doors. the engineer will be willing to train and learn about working on automatic doors too. you will be able to follow logical and systematic steps to diagnose existing and potential faults by providing excellent customer service, advising on replacement of wear and tear parts to avoid breakdowns between service visits, upgrades to improve functionality. skills / experience: essential responsible, reliable, punctual, and trustworthy. electrical knowledge industry experience. clean driving license, other operating licenses are also of benefit. ipaf etc. able to work on your own, managing your time and workload accordingly. develops good working relationships with other co-workers and customers. advantageous electrical and mechanical qualifications, in the door and entrance systems industry electromechanical experience (industrial doors, gates, barriers, lifts or ex forces engineers will be considered) adia / adsa bs en16005 certified industrial door qualifications (nvq s etc. it skills, benefits package: paid door to door premium overtime at time and a half and double time you will receive an on-call standby allowance plus a callout fee premium overtime when you are called out 28 days leave plus bank holidays full product training on automatic doors progression and development opportunities 4 weeks of induction training program pension a modern, fully kitted out van, with all the tools you will need smart phone fuel card (keeps you moving) company uniform screw fix account for parts etc. to apply for this role or to be considered for future roles, please call our recruitment team, upload, or forward your cv and someone will be in touch with you shortly
