to support our production management team, we are looking for a production manager with strong administration skills, a strategic understanding of production flow and strong people management skills. you must demonstrate a clear, supportive, and engaging leadership style, with the ability to champion empowerment and teamwork to deliver exceptional production operational performance. the goal is to ensure an effective and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements. strong coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. decision making and problem solving will take up a great part of your day

role responsibilities

to ensure that the operating systems, people, and procedures deliver a quality product in an efficient, cost effective and timely manner.
manage the production operations capability of the site, optimising profitability, and minimising operation costs.
managing a team and direct and indirect reports.
leading the implementation of the operational strategy, developing and monitoring kpis to manage performance of the production teams.
championing and driving the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. training and developing ci tools and techniques.
working closely with the management team and supervisors to plan, set targets, and ensure finished products meet quality standards, ensuring customer expectations are met on time and in full.
coaching, mentoring, supporting, and developing staff, implementing performance reviews, setting goals, and developing initiatives to invest in our people.
to manage the department in line with the department plan; leading the department in the delivery of agreed goals and ensuring staff are engaged and work efficiently to deliver the plan.
to establish a strong culture of operational standards as a foundation for continuous improvement.

person attributes

a history of identifying and managing improvements throughout the production process
excellent people management skills, with the ability to coach, mentor and motivate a team, focusing on developing initiatives to invest in our people.
strong organisational and administration skills are a must.
strong production management skills with experience of running a fast-moving manufacturing facility, ideally with window industry experience.
experience of leading and managing a team, a strong leader, able to direct, make good decisions and demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude, with a focus on making things happen.
team orientated with the ability to motivate and lead by example and demonstrate hands on, result driven and can-do approach.
excellent planning and organisational skills with a focus on attention to detail.
