Warehouse operative with driving experience - permanent basis (£26k/year) - united kingdom, romford, london

logistics company in the snacks and drinks sector looking for an experienced warehouse operative.

skills, experience and qualification

clear understanding of customer requirements, product specification, product labels requirements
technologically intuitive - must have a genuine interest in technology with a willingness to learn
take pride in their work and be able to maintain smooth running of warehouse operations.
focussed on attention to detail
be a problem solver and have good management skills
understanding of operations procedures
self-motivated and can work autonomously
excellent organisation, prioritisation, and time management ability
previous experience in a warehouse environment
previous experience in supply chain management (3 years+) an advantage
forklift counterbalance licence preferred if not training will be provided
previous experience of warehouse management systems
full uk driving licence with experience driving large size vans and no more than 3 points on licence.

duties & responsibilities

overseeing stock deliveries and ensuring all items are stored away correctly
prioritise and problem-solving in time sensitive situations
planning workflow and logistics activities efficiently.
liaising with other departments to ensure the smooth flow of goods in and out of the business.
accepting and checking in goods from our suppliers.
ensuring goods are stored in their correct locations safely and efficiently.
managing the picking & packing of orders ready for dispatch.
assist dispatch team with on route and drop queries.
stock counts and stock management.
processes for streamlining stock positions
keeping up to date with individual cases and ensuring all documentation is received on time
maintaining a safe and tidy warehouse for you and your colleagues.
assist with multidrop deliveries when dispatch team has excess drops.

applicants should have a reasonable commuting distance from our romford depot.
