the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in all phases of interior architectural projects and their management. provides leadership in project marketing, design, and management for the interiors group. will serve as prime contact of the firm with clients, consultants, and public agencies. substantial knowledge of preparation and use of architectural/interior design contracts, organizes and leads contract negotiations.

  • proficient in preparing schematics, including block & stacking plans.
  • responsible for code compliance as it relates to ada and life safety. all plans are to be reviewed and coordinated with the architect of record throughout the design process, (schematic thru final construction documents).
  • will serve as prime contact of the firm with clients through all phases of the project.
  • provide leadership in project design.
  • prepare and conduct client interviews. consolidate information into a program document outlining square footage and personnel requirements.
  • initiate preparation of equipment list gathering electrical, plumbing, and special hvac requirements from the client.
  • proficient in space planning.
  • proficient in preparing a complete set of construction documents.
  • responsible for technical implementations of design concepts during construction documents, specifications, building, & construction administration.
  • provide coordination of all applicable project discipline drawings and specifications.
  • has working knowledge of computer-aided design drafting to produce designs into routine final drawings and performs limited cadd operations.
  • prepare presentation boards.
  • visits construction site to review, monitor, and report progress and perform other construction administration duties, such as shop drawings review, attend construction site meetings, review rfi’s, prepare asi’s, pr’s, prepare status reports, per the contract documents.
  • qualifications

    education and/or experience:

  • four-year degree in interior design from a cida accredited college or university.
  • individual has obtained a minimum of 8+ years of professional experience within the interior design/architectural field. significant management and marketing experience required.
  • certificate, licenses, registration:

  • ncidq certified
  • professional member of iida or asid, national interior design
  • valid driver’s license
  • physical requirements:
