about us
whitebridge hotel is a small, but busy hotel, on the south side of loch ness, 25 miles from inverness. we are looking for reliable, hard-working, friendly team-players to join the team for the 2021 season (and beyond for the right candidates)
bella and lesley, the owners, pride themselves in providing warm, welcoming and friendly service to all who come to eat, drink or stay at the hotel. this is achieved by providing great food, drinks and comfortable accommodation. our fabulous employees work across a number of areas: the bar, waiting, housekeeping, cleaning. ideally, we like our staff to work across departments and to be adaptable in their roles this not only provides variety but helps us be more efficient. given how hard we all work, we encourage a happy and positive team spirit.
our employees consist of a mixture of local and ‘live-in’ members of staff who come for, some or all of the season. there are also some ‘live-in’ positions which operate year-round. please note, we are unable to accommodate pets.
the hotel is situated in a beautiful, small, remote rural hamlet but does have limited services/shops. our nearest shop is 4 miles away and therefore, it works better if you have your own transport to allow you to explore the area on your days off. our location provides easy access to skye, cairngorms and north coast 500. there is a bus service which comes from/to inverness but this is a limited service (2 or 3 buses per day and no service on sundays). there are lots of lovely walks and cycle routes in the area so would suit those who enjoy the outdoors.
live-in duty manager / general assistant
ideally, you will be prepared to work across various departments as we are a small but dedicated team - serving behind the bar, waiting tables, breakfast, checking customers in/out, kp. a positive attitude is most important but supervisors experience is preferred. for experienced candidates, it may be possible to be based mainly in one or two departments. for live-in, ideally you will be at duty manager level and would have additional responsibilities such as opening up/locking up from time to time, overseeing other team members and running shifts.
in return, you will have access to comfortable on-site staff accommodation, be part of a friendly, supportive team with a good rate of pay and a share of the tips.
