a bespoke and leading web design company is looking for a new creative web designer to join their skilled team in preston.

this company has yielded over 700 websites and is excited to see your creative flare!

this role will suit someone who has the knowledge and experience of creating and maintaining websites and wants to grow with the company.

key responsibilities:

developing confidently and efficiently in the following languages/libraries (html, css, javascript, jquery/ajax)

developing all projects with ux/ui in mind

developing for both desktop and mobile

developing, testing, and evaluating designs

presenting designs to managers, producing details of specifications, and outlining designs

agreeing on timescales and specifications with managers

discussing and solving complex problems with colleagues

updating / managing existing websites

producing graphics/banners

required experience:

must have a portfolio of work

must have an understanding of responsive design and best practice

must have knowledge & experience with wordpress

proficiency in photoshop, illustrator, or other visual design software

required skills:

proficient understanding of web mark-up, including html and css

proficient understanding of client-side scripting and javascript frameworks, including jquery

the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

excellent communication

the ability to prioritise and plan effectively

desirable experience:

an understanding of css pre-processors such as less or sass

experience of cms - magento & opencart

understanding of search engine optimisation
