it's an exciting time to join autosmart; we're in the most significant period of transformational change in our history, opening our new highly automated manufacturing hub in summer 2023, implementing ifs, our new erp system and a clear strategic plan taking us from gbp30m turnover to gbp45m by 2026.

based at our shenstone head office and reporting to our finance director, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced costings expert to join our friendly and collaborative finance team. with outstanding commercial and technical accounting acumen, you will quickly become the key interface between our operations, sales and finance teams, taking the lead in presenting our senior stakeholders with the information required to make vital business decisions across all markets.

this role will see you getting 'out and about' in the business to understand the key drivers of our sales divisions, manufacturing and business performance, whilst using your excellent communication skills to build effective company-wide relationships. we're looking for a proactive team player with a strong work ethic and great team spirit to match our dynamic company culture.

our senior cost and management accountant will have:

• 5+ years working in a management accounting role in a manufacturing environment

• experience and full understanding of actual and standard costing with an erp system

• 2+ years staff supervision or management

• acma qualification would be advantageous

• excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• ability to contribute to business and process change

our senior cost and management accountant will:

• collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities to optimise profit and efficiency

• lead the production and development of sales and costing data for the business

• provide considerable input to company budgets, forecasts and strategy

• develop the product costing system as part of our new erp project, incorporating machine, labour rates and overhead apportionment

• report and present p&l results, kpis and trends

• maintain costs for the purposes of stock valuation, pricing, budgeting, and forecasting

• manage, coach and develop a small team
