our client, the market leader for regional business news and events, are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised event manager to join the team.

our client is an online publisher of regional business news with a very well renowned

virtual and in-person event offering.

their audience is made up predominantly of senior business executives and professionals, and their events programme reflects this in its tone and content.

they organise everything from conferences, awards dinners, round tables, seminars, networking events and much more.

as event manager, you will work with the editorial, marketing and commercial teams to shape the themes and formats of the events to maximise their attractiveness to the client’s audience and commercial partners.

you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the delivery of events from inception through to delivery, including:

securing a suitable venue if preferred partners are not arranged
securing appropriate speakers through the editorial teams and co-ordinating with them to ensure they are briefed on event logistics
sourcing and negotiating with other vendors and suppliers under guidance from head of events
ensuring the marketing and promotion of the events is timely and co-ordinated
running the events on the day to ensure their smooth delivery, so that attendees and sponsors have a really good experience
overseeing the event debrief, including financials (p&l's invoicing etc) leading on the delivery of a busy schedule and be comfortable managing multiple events concurrently.

the successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and hard working person who is highly organised and thrives working with a range of stakeholders, both in the business and externally.

you will be a confident individual with strong communication and project management skills, who is good at solving problems that live event delivery throws up. you will also be comfortable working to kpis related to the frequency and commercial success of the events.
