adecco is assisting a local client in recruiting for a detail-oriented billing specialist in lafayette, in. this is for a temp-to-hire opportunity. hours are monday through friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. pay $18.00-$19.00/hr. depending on experience. candidate must have a minimum of 2-4 years of prior invoicing experience with emphasis on t&m, progress, lump sum and percent complete invoicing. the billing specialist position requires the ability to perform high volume invoicing which are all construction project related and are mainly customized, not auto generated. perform necessary process to set up jobs and contracts, research and resolve discrepancies and track down missing information. assist project managers and estimators with job cost inquiries, compiling reports, analyzing data and tracking costs and budgets related to their projects. apply with adecco!
requirements:
proficient in excel
prior experience with project related invoicing, preferably within a construction service firm.
demonstrate a good understanding of accounting principles
ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality
excellent communication, both verbal and written and customer relation skills
individual should be very numbers orientated as manual calculations are required to track project costs and budgets. must be able to reconcile project cost data and maintain organized job files.
comprehensive knowledge of wip and over/under accruals
have meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
ability to think analytically and to understand the numbers beyond a data entry perspective.
individual needs to be a quick study, willing and able to learn new systems and follow established procedures.
excellent time management and prioritization skills
able to concentrate on multiple tasks at once, be highly organized and pro-active.
ideal candidate is self-motivated with the ability to complete recurring tasks without direct supervision.
degree in accounting is preferred but years of invoicing experience in lieu of degree would be accepted.
experience with sage timberline is a plus
