a fantastic opportunity has arisen within the organisational development workforce training team for an experienced, engaging, and motivated person to join our team as a driver trainer.
this is a specialist role that involves the planning and delivery of training to the cumbria county council and cumbria fire & rescue workforce, ensuring they have the correct skills and behaviours to carry out their roles.
we offer a wide range of driver awareness and development programmes, predominately this role will cover emergency response driving to fire personnel, in addition this role may also cover highway maintenance vehicle training, night driving training and minibus driver training.
the role
within this role you will be part of the driver training team, supporting colleagues in a one team approach to delivery. there is already an exceptional standard of knowledge and experience within our team, who are there to fully support you within your new role.
you will be required to identify and develop learning solutions for the needs of the workforce, closely collaborating with your line manager and liaising with stakeholders to find the best approach.
who we are looking for
we are looking for someone who can bring their advanced driving experience and an understanding of vehicle working maintenance principles, along with a driven and flexible attitude.
we are looking for exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present and engage with both small and large groups, the majority of training will be practical, however this role will also include theory-based training.
the role will involve displaying good organisational skills and the ability to identify and adapt the learning delivery making it relevant to the individual or group.
