working environment

we are a busy conference centre situated within a science campus in hinxton village, just outside of cambridge, providing catering services to our guests.

we are an excellent team of friendly, experienced and professional people looking for others to join us on a casual basis to assist.

you will be making tea and coffee, serving buffet food and presenting sandwich lunches for our guests in various locations within the centre.

helping to setup catering areas for differing services.

job description

your key responsibilities as the front of house assistant will consist of:

- ensure full area of responsibility is clean, appropriately presented and stocked at all times

- ensure thorough and up to date knowledge and understanding of menu and special offers in order to provide relevant information to customers and clients

- be responsible for smooth operation of relevant equipment reporting any maintenance issues in line with procedures

working pattern: monday - sunday (daytime and evening shifts available)

skills and experience

the experience and knowledge we are looking for from the future front of house assistant include:

- genuine interest in customer service excellence

- a dedicated person who is driven and passionate about their work

- previous catering experience desirable but not essential, what is important is that you have a positive attitude and willing to work as part of a great team

as part of your package, we are offering gbp10.50 per hour plus holiday pay, uniform and meal on duty included, with free parking.
