technician golf ball engineering job requires candidates to:

create and maintain all controlled golf ball engineering documents (specifications, supplier manufacturing processes, cosmetic specs, production release notices, etc.).

review and update documents for maintenance and quality control.

manage the flow of documentation within the organization and suppliers via sharepoint access groups.

create templates for future use by suppliers and within the organization.

conduct all aspects of sample preparation for testing and evaluation.

execute testing on golf balls, inserts, and material specimens under the guidance of the golf ball engineering team staff.

conduct all aspects of tests and inspections, including setting up equipment and tools, compiling and plotting data, and submitting results to the designated personnel.

enter data into a computer and produce basic reports, data summaries, and files.

carry out responsibilities following established safety and engineering procedures and/or written and verbal instructions.

performs other related duties and assignments as required

 

 

candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for technician golf ball engineering job:

demonstrated ability to review technical documentation and identify errors quickly and accurately

detail-oriented; has a meticulous work style and a known tendency to catch errors and enact appropriate changes

skilled in microsoft office suite and adobe applications

strong knowledge of excel (ability to use functions like sum, st. dev, conditional if/then statements, etc.

demonstrated ability to use arithmetic (decimals, percentages, fractions) to perform calculations, set-ups, inspections, tests, and report results.

able to use precision measuring instruments and hand tools.

able to work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision.

high school diploma required; associate degree (preferred) or equivalent in a technical or business administration field

5+ years of relevant experience as a document controller and/or technician
